Foov at the Ballpark is designed for adults with intellectual disabilities, however we have successfully tested it with elderly adults, children, in a group setting, in homes, in gyms, inside and outside. Each time with remarkable result: a fun and engaging real workout. We are excited to make Foov at the Ballpark available and to help motivate people to move.

Sonja is a 40 year old woman with Down Syndrome. She had a stroke 12 years ago. Before her stroke Sonja was very active in Special Olympics and loved to workout. After her stroke she had a difficult time finding her workout groove. Through years of hard work she is back feeling strong and independent again.

The US Department of Health recommends 150 minutes of physical activity to reduce the risks of chronic illnesses (heart, diabetes etc). But what counts as physical activity? Physical activity is defined as movement that involves contraction of your muscles. Any activities that we do throughout the day that involve movement — housework, gardening, walking, climbing stairs — are examples of physical activity. Most daily physical activity is considered light to moderate in intensity.
